Running off I thought it was the source of all my problems I figured coming home would inevitably solve them I reunite with a city that’s been busted, supposedly at the mercy of these villians I’ve never trusted But it’s too early, to feel this dirty I never thought that I could want to leave again so soon Taking hold to the best of my ability my friends, my family, they’re the ones I came back here to see Will this town always be this rotten? Will we take our place beside the forgotten and downtrodden? Cuz it’s too early, to feel this dirty I never thought that I could want to leave again so soon Taking off is to sell my soul but would I rather leave this place before we reach a brand new low? Maybe to find a place, some place where I could grow Should I stay or should I go? Oh, I don’t know. But it’s a classic dilemma and that makes me feel alright A classic dilemma and that makes me feel alright Yeah Alright

I sigh, oh what’s the use as I try to shrug off your abuse but I’m not bulletproof and I take it to the heart I’m always watching what I say You’ve gotta do things your own way and it’s getting worse everyday I don’t know where to start I’m sorry that I have to do this but tonight you’re acting fucking stupid I’m through with all that viciousness and bullshit though tomorrow you know I’ll probably miss it A victim of your own rage incapable of acting your age you’re pissed - maybe but I’ll tell you what you’re not you’re not making any sense you’re not immaculate or innocent you’re not braindead you’re not this dense you’re not, you’re not, you’re not so I’m sorry that I have to do this but tonight you’re acting fucking stupid I’m through with all that viciousness and bullshit though tomorrow you know I’ll probably miss it you’re not making any sense you’re not immaculate or innocent you’re not braindead you’re not this dense you’re not, you’re not, you’re not
3.
They say that Jesus was a fisher of men but here we’re covered in oil and at the world’s end you call on prophets while our profits dry up but there’s nothing to say and there’s no use in praying cuz we’re fucked and while you’re searching for a sign from the sky the blood grows thick with desperation you can see how we have come to this wrecking a world without breaking the rules on the list Insist to take what you want and to jealously guard it then piss it all away it’s greed it’s entitlement like none you’ve ever seen we need everything They say that Jesus was a fisher of men. Ha.
